Born in La Havana, Cuba on October 10th, 1966, Carlos has resided in
South Florida since 1985 after living in Costa Rica for several years
where he learned and experimented extensively in the field of ceramics
and porcelain painting.

and with clay; a medium he uses to create his sculptures.
The artist has been involved in teaching classes on ceramics and
drawing throughout his career and has influenced people of all ages,
including socially troubled children and children of social minority
groups in their own pursue of artistic development; allowing their own
creativity to flourish.
Carlos’ work has been a part of many different exhibits throughout
Florida and his creations are a part of public and private
collections.
… “Rather than speak about my life, I’d rather you look into my work
and find a feeling; an emotion; a memory, anything that would make you
think. Hopefully stirring thoughts that stimulate you in a positive
way, as that is my intention.
Through images I want to break the monotony of everyday life by
focusing on important ideas, philosophies, experiences, … take a
moment away from the routine and make it important, meaningful and
perhaps if I am lucky; in that one moment I would have touched you in
such a way that you will go on from there with a new outlook on your
existence, …How ambitious!
Most of all, I hope you enjoy it”
