Curating an important collection of Key West art with an emphasis on works of historic importance and local charm, from 1934 to present day, gallery director Nance Frank brings tremendous personal commitment and enthusiasm for art and collectors. The gallery seeks to satisfy both the casual art buyer and the established collector in the primary and secondary markets with works by Mario Sanchez, Peter Vey, Jeff MacNelly, Bruce McGarey, Tiffany Cant, Mike Peters, Tennessee Williams (The Playwright), Suzie DePoo, James Kerr, Harriet Frank, Priscilla Coote, Andy Thurber, Karen Sheridan, Rita MacNelly & Beezy Bogan, Tom Joris, Kim Northrop, Mark T. Smith, Van Eno, Sonia Menna Barreto, and Cuban greats; Fabelo, Luis Abreux, Wifredo Lam, Gil Garcia, Expo, Raciel Linares, Toste, Miguel Angel Couret and scores of director-selected fine Cuban art.

The Gallery on Greene, established in 1996, has been located in the Historic District’s Seaport area of Key West. The common denominator has been the "spirit" or artistic integrity of the work, a highly accomplished technique, and outstanding value. Frank strongly believes that a dealer in contemporary art has a great responsibility to help people learn how to look at art and to feel what it’s about as well as understanding it’s financial value.

As an art dealer, Nance Frank has had a multi-faceted career: operating a public gallery; dealing privately; writing, publishing and/or distributing editions by such artists as Mario Sanchez, and Jeff MacNelly, and participating in numerous national and international advertorials. Nance worked on the curatorial side of the Basler Volkerkunde Museum in Basel, Switzerland and the ethnological museum in Puerto Toro, Chile. She was founding chair of the Monroe Council for the Arts, Florida Keys & Key West Gallery Associations, and on the founding board of The Florida Keys Community Foundation, and is a board member of Monroe County’s Public Art Board. She is President of the Florida Keys Gallery Assoc.
She has curated two exhibits of Mario Sanchez works with catalogues and is in the planning stages for a traveling exhibit in 2013. Her lifetime ties to Cuba and proficientcy in Spanish have combined to build relationships with the most sought after artists on that island as well.

In a past career she led the first team of women in the Newport-Bermuda Race, Fastnet, Annapolis-Newport Race and first American women’s team in the Whitbread Round the World Race.

Our philosophy: The style pendulum swung away from overly furnished and cluttered interiors some time ago. The immediate reaction was one of clinical simplicity. We are now experiencing a hugely exciting period where key pieces of fine art or antiques are used to a stunning effect within contemporary interiors. This juxtaposition makes for an emerging sophisticated style, next to no other.

Now we can appreciate the best of both worlds.

With the growing sophistication of the general public, people are looking more into expressing themselves at home than ever before. Comfort, style, quality, beauty, technology and investment are all keywords mentioned when furnishing and decorating a new home.

The Gallery on Greene is ideally positioned to advise on the acquisition of such integral items to enhance your living space and daily lives.

Our expert services are perfectly suited to those clients building a collection.

Collections normally evolve, in that they are augmented as opportunities arise while lesser items are occasionally sold to fund the acquisition of better items. Our reputation ensures that we hear of important, collectable pieces for sale long before they reach the open market.
